My Vinted Closet // Women’s Online Resale App

There’s nothing in this world I love more than to find a good deal when shopping. That is why shopping at thrift stores is an obsession of mine. I would say 75-80% of my closet is clothes from thrift stores & I am proud of it. I am able to buy more clothes, shoes, and accessories shopping this way. The best is even when you find items with brand new tags and never worn. The amount of excitement I get when finding an awesome deal is indescribable.

I came across this App/website called Vinted almost a year ago. It’s a website where women sell their clothing from their own personal closet. You describe the item in great detail, set the price to whatever you please, take photos, and watch as women send you offers on the items you have posted. The buyer always pays for shipping and you just have to send it out! It’s amazing! The money goes into your “Vinted Wallet” and you can cash out whenever the sale is final!

I have had my account for a year and I have already made over a couple hundred dollars. It’s really a great way to make some extra cash & also clean out your closet! I have purchased a couple items too and have had nothing but great things to say about it. All the items I purchased were in great condition and exactly how they were described. Plus you can’t beat the price! I recommend you check it out for yourself! Below I will put a link to my personal closet so you can check out the items I am selling! XOXO

I leave for Florida in three weeks and really could use some advice on which product to try next!

My Beauty Room // + Need Ideas From You!

Hey loves, hope everyone’s weeks are going good! First off I want to say thank you for all of you lovely ladies who have followed my blog, commented or just supported me in any way thus far! I love this community and how supportive everyone is! I can’t wait to see your blogs grow as well as mine!

My husband and I who are newlyweds of six months are currently renting a 3 bedroom house. We are using one as our bedroom, the other as our computer room and lastly I get to use the third bedroom as my beauty/getting ready room!!! (Im taking full advantage of this before a baby comes and steals my beauty room away from me!) Because we are renting and don’t want to put a bunch of money into a house that isn’t ours I had to work with what I got! I had to jazz it up to the best of my abilities!

A couple months back my sweet, sweet, sweet husband surprised me while I was at bowling (Yes, totally dorky but I am on a bowling league and I’m quite good!  Crazy!) I came home and looked into the empty third bedroom to see this cute little vanity set up. He put together that corner desk, but this rustic mirror that’s leaning up against the wall and bought a small lighted vanity mirror. I was shocked and blown away by his kindness!!! Even though I wanted sleek, clean, all white furniture for my beauty room this is PERFECT because he put his heart and time into doing this for me and that is all that matters!

Since I am obsessed with thrifting, I found this awesome oval gold frame at the thrift store that was missing the glass for $0.50. I bought a spool of white lace for $1.00 and with a little cutting and gluing, I turned this frame into an earring holder!  I love this on my wall!!!

And lastly my newest addition to my beauty room is this garment rack I purchased from Amazon. This really completed the room! I love hanging my favorite pretty tops up, my purses and my new sun hat. The bonus is the built in shoe rack on the bottom! I just love this piece of furniture in my room. Plus it was only $18! I went to Target and a few other stores and they were all around $50! I think this piece is a must for a girls room!  Also, the cheetah print heart wall decal behind it is also from Amazon. I will put both links to these products down below!

I NEED YOUR BEAUTY TIPS LADIES!!!! // Currently I have all my makeup stored in a very large cosmetic bag. This is messy, unorganized and so frustrating! I see all the Ikea dressing tables and white storage pieces they have but I do not want to spend that kind of money. If you have ANY suggestions on makeup storage and organization for me please share in the comments!!! Thanks everyone!!!

Fav Highlighter // NYX Liquid Illuminator

Happy Monday!!! Here in Michigan we are having an absolute gorgeous morning. Sun is shining and weather is warm! Which for us is rare now of days! Sunshine automatically puts me in a cheery mood and gives me fantastic motivation in the morning to get ready!

While I was starting to do my makeup and went to grab my highlighter, I realized how much I really love this product. I’ve gone through a couple of highlighters in my time, and nothing compares to this one. So today I am going to share with you about the NYX Liquid Illuminator in the shade “Sunbeam”.

Product: This product comes in two difference shades. The one that I am holding is called Sunbeam and it’s a beautiful pinky/champagne/white combination and the other color they have is called Gleam which is a bronzed highlighter. I’ve had this for about 2 months now and originally bought it from Ulta for around $7.50. Not expensive at all compared to high end products. I went with Sunbeam for a more natural sunlit luminous glow on my cheeks.

How I apply:  I place 4 or 5 small dots on my cheek bone surrounding my eye up until above my brow usually. Then I take my middle finger and lightly dab or stipple into my skin on the area I want highlighted. Towards the end if any areas need more blending I will lightly rub it into the skin with a light circular motion. I’ve also heard that you can use this underneath your foundation as a base to create a luminous, dewy look.

Final result: This picture below is what it looks like on. The camera did not show it’s full effect but you can still see the luminous glow on my cheekbones! Perfect for spring & summer! (Excuse the eye brows, did not do that step until after taking these pictures)

Thank you guys for taking the time to read my post! Hope you enjoyed this product review! Like I said earlier in the way I apply my highlighter, if you would like to see the look of using this highlighter as a foundation base to create a dewy luminous look, let me know & I’ll do a post/video about that look!

First Time Product // NOW Essential Oils

You cannot scroll through your Facebook or Pinterest account without seeing someone post, brag, and try to get the word out about essential oils. These have bloomed in popularity recently and are the new trend! I was sitting at my hair salon when I smelled a beautiful fragrance and noticed a diffuser sitting on one of the tables. I got into a nice conversation with the hair stylist about essential oils, the uses, the benefits and so on and so forth. It intrigued me and I needed to know more and try it out for myself.

I am not an expert, so I am not going to pretend like I am, I am just going to give you the basis of what I do know, and how they have worked in my life so far! I just started using these last week and I can already tell you i’m in love!

There are three ways to use essential oils // let’s call them EO for short
1. Diffuse – you can buy a diffuser that diffuses them into the air. it’s a great way to make your house smell yummy too!
2. Topically – you can rub them right to your skin. This is great for an area on your  body that might have muscle tension, headache, stomach-ache, etc. Some oils can be stronger than others and need a carrier oil (coconut oil or olive oil work good).
3.Digest- You can eat these or add them to your water! They are edible!

The first three oils that I purchased were Eucalyptus, Clove, and Peppermint. There are SO many uses for each oil and different ways to treat your body using them, but these are the reasons I purchased these three.
Eucalyptus- I diffuse this one in the air to help with the common cold. I had a stuffy nose and this helped great! Just added 2-3 drops to the diffuser with water, and the steam filled the room and my stuffy nose was gone! I’ve also heard this is great to add to bath water!
Peppermint- Great for stomach problems… I will give you a little personal testimony on this particular oil a little later.
Clove- This is a great scent to diffuse to make your house smell delicious. A great winter scent. (Cheaper than candles too!)
Price:: These were all under $7.00 for a 1 oz bottle. I purchased these at BetterHealth Market. // ( http://www.thebetterhealthstore.com/)

Peppermint Oil//My new love//My stomach-ache savior!

Well this is quite embarrassing but i’m putting it out there, hoping this will help someone else struggling with the same issue! I have been dealing with constipation for as long as I can remember. I just have dealt with not going to the bathroom for a couple of days and dealing with the terrible stomach pains that comes with it. I’m always feeling sick, nauseous and crampy. I’ve tried lots of different medicines but nothing has worked… until now!!!! I mix 4-5 drops of peppermint EO and a spoonful of coconut oil into my hand and rub together until the coconut oil becomes a liquid. Then I massage the mixture on the bottom of my stomach right before I go to bed. By morning I have to go to the bathroom! I am so amazed with this product and am completely sold on EO’s and know they work! What a great, natural alternative to medicine!

If anyone else has more knowledge on EO’s, tips, suggestions or just want to chat about them please comment & let’s chat! This is my new found love!

Sensationail Gel Polish Starter Kit Review // LOVE!

SENSATIONAIL GEL POLISH STARTER KIT:
TARGET // $50

DSCN1255

Trying new products is one of my favorite excitements. It’s either a very uplifting fun discovery, or a major let down. Sometimes it can be a pricey let down at that! I would call make-up a hobby of mine, and can be looked at as a form of art and a creative outlet for me. I am far from a professional, but I enjoy making myself looking beautiful. One area of make-up that I lack in majorly is my nails. I have terrible, terrible, terrible nails to begin with and I will admit that! I have very short nail beds and my nails look they are on the hands of a seven-year old-young girl. They are brittle & thin, and do not grow long what so ever. Since the age of 16 I have been getting acrylics applied religiously (which is not helping my thin nail problem obviously; this is my own fault.) Shellac manicures started getting popular within the past couple of years and I have yet to try one out. To me, I got acrylics for the length and thickness. Shellac was not going to give me length so I stayed away from trying it. Even though the manicure lasts up to two weeks, it seemed pricey.

After Christmas I had a gift card to Target and I roamed up and down the cosmetic aisles when I came across the gel nail polish kits that came with the LED lamps included. There was two brands: Sally Hansen or Sensationail. I looked up some reviews on my Iphone and decided to try the Sensationail brand out! Seemed legit and if I kept up with it, I heard it would help make your nails grow longer if you kept polish on them at all times.

I got home that night and opened the package and read the directions. Seemed easy enough. After about a total of 10 minutes, I had a beautiful, smooth, perfect manicure! I was AMAZED. Every time I do my own nails it turns out messy, uneven, and always looks like a child painted my nails. To my surprise, this turned out perfect. My nails are so hard, shiny and smooth. It was so simple to do as well. It took no time at all.

DSCN1265

The color in this picture is the one that came with the starter kit : Raspberry Wine.

OVERALL OPINION: I am on day six of my gel manicure and I would have say they have held up pretty well. The box says lasts up to two weeks. Mine is starting to just now chip at the top but not anywhere near as bad as regular nail polish. I am very pleased and super excited to run out and buy new colors. They are however more expensive than regular nail polishes. (Around $10/pc) I am very excited I came across this product and I give it two thumbs up!!!
